Basic Bra Care

Did you know that the lifespan of a bra is really only 8-12 months if you wear it a few times a week? And if bras are not handled correctly, they will wear out even faster.

Washing: Bras retain their shape, color, and fit when they are hand washed

It's best to do separate loads for different color bras; one load for darks and one load for lights. If you don't want to hand wash or don't have the time, you can put them in a mesh lingerie wash bag (see pic below) and send them through the delicate cycle in the machine. Be sure to hook the bra together in the back so that the hooks don't get caught or tangled.

The detergent you use to wash your bras in plays a huge roll in how long they will hold up. This is due to chemicals that break down the elastic bands leaving them permanently stretched out. We suggest you get a special detergent to use on your delicates like Forever New or Woolite.

Drying: AIR DRY ONLY

Putting bras into a hot spinning dryer is the best way for them to lose thier elasticity. Lay them flat on a drying rack or off a doorknob and out of direct sunlight to keep them in the best shape.

Storing: Make room to properly store your bras!

All bras should be stacked in a drawer (see pic below) or on a shelf and not folded in any way. The biggest mistake most women make is when they turn one cup inside out and fold the two cups together. Permanent creases can be made when doing so.
